Wendy is our in-house Nurse (qualified in 1981) and boasts a whole host of expertise and industry experience – she is a qualified midwife, health visitor and nurse prescriber.

Wendy became involved in the aesthetic industry after taking some time out of the NHS, working as a Palliative Care/Clinical Nurse Specialist/Macmillan Nurse for 12 years.

Because of Wendy’s experience as a prescribing nurse, she was able to re-train in Aesthetics – specialising in treatments for Dermal Fillers and Lip and Perioral lines as well as Botox.

How Soon Will I See Results?

You should see the results almost immediately after your treatment and they should last between 6 and 18 months, depending on the type of treatment used and your body’s reaction.  There may be a little swelling initially but this should subside within 48 hours.

Do dermal fillers hurt?

You may feel some slight discomfort when the filler is being injected into the face, but a local anaesthetic cream can be applied to numb the area prior to treatment.  The fillers themselves also contain a local anaesthetic for a more comfortable treatment experience.

Are There Any Side Effects?

As dermal filers are made from Hyaluronic Acid, which is a substance that naturally occurs in the body, serous reactions are rare.  You may experience some tenderness and mild bruising.  These reactions are generally mild and usually subside within a few days.
